Test Results
When you get tested, there are a few words your doctor might use to describe the results:

A non-reactive (negative) result means that the test did not find signs of HIV in the body at that given time.

A reactive (positive) result means that the test did find signs of HIV in the body, and you may be HIV positive. The tester will need to follow-up with a second test to confirm whether you have HIV.
